Foxhills Surrey Review
Nestled in Ottershaw Chertsey Surrey is the tranquil Foxhills Club and Resort set in a 19th century Manor House. Typically the resort is a members club however one that offers visitors an escape to the idyllic Surrey countryside.
Upon arrival we were mesmerised with just how beautiful Foxhills really was, the Manor House was surrounded by acres of greenery and an impressive golf course, stunning scenery at all angles!
We were kindly greeted by the General Manager who warmly welcomed us and we were shown to our home for the evening and when I say home I mean it in a literal sense!
We were taken to a house with a little red door which nicely matched my Julian Macdonald coat and Cherry Red Boots from Jane Norman. These newly refurbished Deluxe Suites were created in March & I was rather taken away by the beauty and the sheer size of the interiors.
The suite had a large downstairs living area with a comfy corner sofa & beautiful twists of modern decor scattered on the walls.
We were greeted by a welcome bottle of Moët & Chandon and a welcome note, such a kind-hearted gesture. It was wonderful relaxing in the comfort of our living room sipping on a glass of luxurious champagne!
Our bedroom upstairs was absolutely beautiful & the ceiling was breathtakingly beautiful and the beamed period ceiling added character and depth to the room.
Calming blue notes mixed with vintage twists added charm to the appearance of the bedroom suite. The marble bathroom was serene, and can we take a moment to admire the freestanding bathtub? Such a fan!
Apparently this one was imported over from Italy, it was gorgeous!
The suite overall really took our breath away & by far one of the most gorgeous home from home locations we’ve stayed in.
The Manor Restaurant
It was time to dress up & enjoy dinner at The Manor Restaurant which is located inside the 19th century Victorian Manor House. The period features added a historic atmosphere during our dining experience.
For starters Jonathan opted for the Rabbit with Cherries, Pistachio, Rye Crisp & I chose the Sea Trout with Peas, Verjus, Mint.
The mains Jonathan opted for the Beef Fillet, Cheek, Turnip, Gnocchi, Watercress, Red Wine Jus & I chose the Cod with Samphire, Coconut, Pickled Raisins, Thai Spice, Spiced Sauce.
Desserts were the most impressive from the A La Carte Menu, we tried the Lemon & Raspberry Pavlova, Limoncello, Ice Cream & The Chocolate Mousse, Macaroon, Praline Ice Cream.
Presentation was fantastic & great to see a modern twist in a historic restaurant, the desserts were the highlight for sure and the flavour combinations were fantastic!
Breakfast
Enjoying breakfast in the comfort of our living room overlooking the garden (above) was a wonderful way to spend out final morning at Foxhills Surrey. We opted for some delicious pancakes, berries & maple syrup, and also a put of light Greek yogurt topped with a fruity sauce, along with a pot of coffee & fresh juice.
Overall
We had a magical time at Foxhills Club and Resort, a truly magical place to unwind & relax. The perfect Surrey getaway.
What do you think of Foxhills judging by the photographs? I would love to hear your thoughts 🙂
