Set in Picturesque Cobham Surrey is the luxurious fine-dining hotspot The Ivy Cobham Brasserie. You are able to sit back and relax embracing all that The Ivy has to offer.
Upon arrival we were greeted with a glass of The Ivy Collection Champagne, crisp & delicate whilst being seated.
Food can offer a moment of pure emotional pleasure in an otherwise hard and difficult world. Antoni Porowski
Fish being a favourite food to enjoy The Oak Smoked Salmon, black pepper
and lemon with dark rye bread was a must try. Delicate, delicious & light to the palette, perfect paired with house champagne.
The Roast Salmon Fillet along with Asparagus spears baby watercress was my personal option for the main course. Moorish yet light with a succulent sugar coated glaze on the skin of the fish. The Creamed spinach, toasted pine nuts and grated Parmesan was a beautiful side dish.
To compliment our dishes our Sommelier we opted for Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Roux, Burgundy, France. The wine is a vintage from a family-owned company, one largest landholders in Burgundy. A refined Pinot-Noir with sophisticated class.
My partner opted for one of the specials which was a unique twist on The Ivy’s Rib-eye on the bone 21 day Himalayan Salt Wall dry-aged, grass-fed, UK rib-eye steak along with Roasted Mushrooms in a creamy sauce. The light fluffy brioche bread added sweet notes to compliment to the beef.
Dinner is often a very celebratory environment, a very safe place, a time to reflect and let the day go and enjoy good food and good wine. It’s a very peaceful moment during the day. A great dinner can change your day around. Brett Gelman
For dessert The Ivy’s famous Melting Chocolate Bombe along with an Expresso Martini finalised our evening on a sweet and truly scrumptious note
Overall we had a pleasurable visit to The Ivy Cobham, comfortable atmosphere with beautifully flavoured food. The hospitality was superb at The Ivy and exactly why this restaurant is a hotspot in Surrey.
