London Fashion Week Designer Omar Mansoor recently showcased his glorious Royal Ascot Collection 2018 at Top Model UK at The Hilton London Metropole. Colourful delights graced the catwalk which caught my eye sitting in the front row of this prestigious charitable event.
Top Model UK raises money for Children with Cancer UK and Omar Mansoor has showcased his designs there for ten years. Always an honour to attend and support a wonderful cause.
The dress showcased is The Frankel Dress from the 2018 Royal Ascot 2018 collection, a vivid fuchsia midi-dress creating a bold statement. The waistline is accentuated beautifully creating shape and subtle detail, Omar’s dresses are always cut to perfection and are highly figure flattering.
A perfect dress to wear to special event such as Royal Ascot for example. This shoot was captured in the gardens at The Macdonald Berystede Hotel & Spa, Ascot, near Windsor.
I opted for a Pretty in Pink makeup look using the Dior ‘Glow Addict’ 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette Spring palette in 887 Thrill.

1/ What was your inspiration behind your 2018 Royal Ascot Collection?
The colours were selected keeping in mind the weather for the event as well as trend forecasting for purple and fuchsia as they’re the colours for the season.
2/ Please can you tell me more about the dress I’m modelling and what your thoughts were for this particular design?
The Frankel Dress is designed with floaty lightweight fuchsia fabric with ruched waist definition and full A-line skirt. This dress has a mixture of pleating combining both fine pleats to box pleats.
There’s a belt to accentuate the waistline.
3/ Fuchsia is a show-stopping colour, why do you think this is a perfect shade for Summer?
This shades adds glamour and brightness to any women who wears it and being rich in itself, it doesn’t require embellishments or many accessories.
4/What’s coming next for the Omar Mansoor brand?
We will soon start working on our Spring/Summer 2019 collection featuring dramatic cuts and fabrics.
Omar Mansoor’s designs always inspire me and his Royal Ascot 2018 collection is absolutely gorgeous. I’m ever so excited about seeing his beautiful designs glide on the catwalk at London Fashion Week!
