Sticks’n’Sushi serve high-quality, fresh food based on a unique combination of traditional sushi
Review of Sticks ‘n’ Sushi Covent Garden
Sticks’n’Sushi is known for its great food and progressive attitude and is one of the most innovative restaurants in the industry -Sticks ‘n’ Sushi
Japanese fusion food is always a culinary delight to enjoy. The vibrancy of the restaurant menu tempted me to visit Sticks ‘n’ Sushi nestled in the heart of picturesque Covent Garden London.
Our culinary feast started with the HOTATE CEVICHE which was a specialist Scallop dish infused with chilli, lime, red onion, tiger’s milk, chilli, coriander, and celery. The combination of zest and spice created a unique and flavoursome dish.
The SUSHI SISTER was a must try containing delicate cuts of sashimi such as Daikon with shrimp, mackerel, scallops, sea bass with truffle oil, tuna, Japanese Omelette, seared salmon, sea bass with truffle oil, troat roe, salmon and hiramasa.
The Seared Salmon alongside the Japanese Omelette were two highlights on the menu, especially flavoursome. A beautifully presented platter enjoyed with a Plum Wine Sake.
Sashami is a favourite of mine when it comes to Japanese food. We opted for The Sashami Mix containing beautiful cuts of delicate fish including yellowfin tuna, salmon and hiramasa (Yellowtail kingfish).
“Desserts are the fairytales of the kitchen, a happily ever after to supper”
― Terri Guillemets
To finalise our meal we sampled three desserts, Crème brûlée vanilla, Fondant dark chocolate caramel & peppermint heart & caramelised hazelnut, Vanilla ice cream with tonga vanilla bean. All three tasted good together as a dessert trio along with an Expresso Martini.
Overall
Sticks ‘n’ Sushi impressed with their ambiance of style, friendly hospitality and moorish Japanese cuisine. A great restaurant in London to visit to explore the taste of Japanese food in the heart of Covent Garden.
